About RLF - Abstract Painter & Digital Artist

Artist Statement:
Combining the leftover imagery of the subconscious with color and texture on canvas is RLFs method for expressing the self, the individual and the means for which he forms the basis of his ideology on abstract art. Abstract Art is not just a method or form or the end result of painting, it is an "ideal for living" that an artist must embrace and encompass into their work and being.

Artist Profile:
RLF is a nationally recognized Abstract painter from Tampa, Florida. He has been showing in the Tampa Bay area for the past seven years and has gained local recognition for his use of color and texture. His works have various dimensions that draw the viewer in. RLF often leaves his pieces "Untitled" because he believes art should be viewed without any preconceived interpretations and connection to the piece. Currently he is working large scale, oil on canvas, developing several series at a time each with various styles.

Education:
Bachelor of Fine Arts
Minor in Art History and Mixed Media
Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana • 1993
